/ Allocation points

The right location at the show makes all the difference. Learn more about CPhI Worldwide allocation process and see how you and your company can benefit by choosing the right location at the show.

At CPhI Worldwide we use Allocation Points to offer you stand space . We call this the allocation process.

Allocating stand locations at CPhI Worldwide is based on the amount of Allocation Points an exhibiting company has. The more Allocation Points a company has, the more stand options available.

Allocation Points are earned as follows:

An exhibiting company must submit a contract by the deadline dates in order to receive the highest amount of Allocation Points for their stand contract.

Note: These points are used for the onsite rebook schedule and will influence your time slotto book your stand onsite for the next edition.

For 2018:

Until the 26thof October 2017:

Until 31 December 2017:

Starting 1st of January 2018:

Important: Allocation Points can be earned if an exhibiting company at CPhIWorldwide also participates in any of the following within a give 12 month cycle:

Note : Allocation points accumulate retroactively. This means points earned in prior years are retained and added to an exhibiting company’s current allocation points status.

The number of Allocation Points a company has determines their position on the Allocation Points list and therefore their time slot during the rebook process onsite . The Allocation Point list is updated yearly using the system mentioned above.

5 factors that influence your allocation points:

The above allocation process is only applicable for returning exhibitors to CPhI Worldwide booking stand space for the next edition . After the 26th October 2017, space is allocated on a first come - first served basis.

The New Exhibitor Pavilion stand bookings are booked on a first come first served basis.

Health Checkups

When you need them—and when you don’t

Like many people, you may schedule a yearly checkup or “annual physical” with your doctor. It usually includes a health history, physical exam and tests.

It is important to have a regular doctor who helps make sure you receive the medical care that is best for your individual needs. But healthy people often don’t need annual physicals, and they can even do more harm than good. Here’s why:

Annual physicals usually don’t make you healthier.

For your physical, your doctor may order tests, such as blood and urine tests, or an electrocardiogram (EKG).

Sometimes, these tests are ordered for healthy people who have no risk factors.

There have been many studies of the effects of these annual checkups. In general, they probably won’t help you stay well and live longer. And usually they don’t help you avoid hospital stays or keep you from dying of cancer or heart disease.

Tests and screenings can cause problems.

Most people should only have a test or screening if they have symptoms or risks factors.

One problem is getting a false-positive result. These false alarms can cause anxiety, and unnecessary follow-up tests and treatments. For example, a false-positive blood test can result in a biopsy. An EKG that is not interpreted correctly may lead to another test that exposes you to radiation. Or you might get a procedure that has a risk of heart attack or death in two patients for every 100 who get the test.

Avoid unnecessary costs.

The U.S. health care system spends $300 million a year on unnecessary tests that are ordered in annual physicals. Billions more are spent on follow-up tests and treatments.

Set a schedule with your doctor.

When you have an exam, your doctor:

Usually your doctor can provide several kinds of care in one visit. For example, you may get a flu shot when your doctor sees you to check how your new blood pressure medicine is working.

If your doctor wants to schedule an annual physical, you can ask if it is necessary. Or ask if you can wait until you have a problem or are due for a test (such as a Pap smear or blood pressure test).

So when do adults need a checkup?

You may need a checkup:

It is also important to see a doctor if you haven’t had health care in a long time. It is best to have a trusted doctor you see regularly.

What about preventive care?

Preventive care is important. Having a regular doctor helps you get preventive care.

How low can he go? And how far back can this Attorney General take us?

Pay no attention to what the media says about how undermined Jeff Sessions is. President Donald Trump may bait him publicly via tweet, but in private, at the Department of Justice, Sessions is a man on a mission to roll back civil rights. And that’s just what he’s doing.

Take what he did this July 3, quietly rescinding two dozen documents intended to make American institutions less racist.

The guidelines the AG scrapped included Obama-era guides on affirmative action that urged colleges to promote diversity for the benefit of the campus and the public good. Others reminded employers that asylum seekers have every right to work, and still others sought to head off another mortgage meltdown by warning brokers not to give predatory home loans to people without going through the fine print.

And Obama-era guidelines weren’t the only ones Sessions withdrew. He also rescinded George W. Bush-era documents that reminded all Americans after 9-11 that discrimination on the basis of national origin is wrong.

The AG reached even further and nixed a Gerald Ford-era guide intended to keep kids out of adult prisons—and out of prison entirely for age-related offenses like truancy and drinking.

Rescinding these documents didn’t make any new laws or repeal any old ones; the guides just sought to make existing law better understood. However, earlier this summer, the AGdidwade into the law itself when he raised the bar for asylum seekers—mostly women—and took immigration decisions into his own hands and out of the courts.

In early June, Sessions ruled that domestic violencewas, like gang crime, a “private crime,” meaning its survivors are not considered members of any particular, at-risk social group. In an already decided case, he called on asylum seeker Aminta Cifuentes to prove that the Guatemalan government actively condoned what he called “private violence” when state police and law enforcement refused to intervene, even after her rapist husband doused her in turpentine and tried to set her alight.

In so-doing Sessions reversed a prior ruling on her case by animmigration appealboard.

OnJuly 3,Sessions called the guidelines he rescinded outdated. So what date does he think this is?The eve of a pro-white, pro-male, anti-immigrant, anti-democratic, slave-owning nation? Just how far does AG Sessions want to set back the clock?
